The deep voice rumbled in your ear, despite the fact that the man was way taller than you were. He wore a friendly smile on his bearded face, gentle blue eyes swallowing you whole. In his large hand was a spiral notebook with a red cover, 'Sketches' written in a bright blue Sharpie on the top. And instead of you taking the notebook, the man instead grabbed your stack of books and the like, walking towards your art class.

Your eyebrows came together and you walked with him. "Um..."

He looked down at you with that same grin. "You are in art, correct?"

"Yeah..."

"Yes, I have that fourth block." He explained. "I've seen you run off from it to lunch many a time now. I also dislike this class and strive to get away as quickly as possible."

"It sucks, yeah. I wanted to draw, not learn about drawing."

"I tend to doodle rather than take notes, personally." He said, "My name is Thor, by the way. Thor Odinson."

"(Name) (Last Name)."

"So why are you carrying all of this? The weight is rather taxing for you, is it not?"

"It is, yeah. My book bag finally gave up on all my stuff, so I don't have a choice but to carry it around."

"That is unfortunate." Thor commented, following you to your desk and setting everything down. "I sit here in my block as well."

"Really? That's so cool!" You chuckled. "Well, I guess it would be if this class wasn't so horrible, anyway."

He grinned. "I agree. Now unfortunately, I must go to my astronomy class. I will see you again." The large blond promised you.

You watched him leave and smiled softly, sitting down in your seat and watching the PowerPoint load up on the Smart Board with a sad sigh. Thor got to go learn about the stars and shit! And you were stuck with art. And not even the drawing or anything! The learning. 'Cause that's what art class was all about. All work and no play. Somehow you repressed the urge to roll your eyes as the teacher began her lecture.

You began drawing out random shapes on your desk, eventually fleshing out the doodle. A complex, beautiful castle (which you envisioned as gold) was formed on the pale wood, though not much else was there. You didn't know what to add, unfortunately. So by the time you left, there was the castle and some type of bridge connected to it. It'd probably just be something you deserted. Hell, it'd probably be erased before you even had a chance to think about continuing it.

Which is why you were pleasantly surprised the next day when you saw stars and planets surrounding the artwork. They were drawn with such detail, such care... Below the drawing was a note written in very nice handwriting.

I hope you do not mind that I added to this wonderful sketch. I have spent many years studying the stars and planets, my father being an astrologist. I thought that something was missing and given that our art teacher is a horrible drag, I decided to use my knowledge and create more of an atmosphere. -Thor

You grinned and grabbed your sketchbook, laying a piece of paper over it and tracing the drawing you and Thor both put your talents into. You'd seen him in the senior dining room plenty of times now, so you knew he had your lunch. You'd have to talk more with him about astrology because it was such an interestingly beautiful subject. And you'd do anything you could to hang out with the man, 'cause he was smokin'.

"Hey Thor." You said, walking up to his table in the dining room. He grinned and set down his slice of pizza, pulling out the empty chair next to him and gesturing for you to sit with him. After taking his offer with a grin and pulling out your sketchbook, Thor's arms wrapped around you in a bone-crushing hug.

"Thank you for salvaging this! I was sure it'd be gone overnight."

"No... problem..." You managed, Thor releasing you quickly. He was probably used to the strength he worked so hard for knocking the wind out of everyone.

You took a deep breath and smiled at him. "Here, you keep it. It only looks so good because you drew in those planets and stars."

"There'd be nothing to add if you didn't draw such a lovely kingdom. It is yours."

"Hmm, okay. You get the next one though!"

Thor chuckled deeply. "You have a deal. Have you any backstory for this kingdom?"

"Not really, no." You shook your head. "It just started off as some random lines, and then it turned into that, so..."

"I understand. My brother is a fan of mythology, however. Greek, Roman, Norse..."

"You have a brother?"

"Indeed!" Thor nodded, grinning proudly. "His name is Loki, and I love him very much. There's a chance you have seen him around or heard of him. He is very mischievous."

"Is he tall, lanky? Black hair?" You'd definitely seen that kid around before. He was quiet, and always had his nose in a book whenever you walked by him.

"That is him!" He chuckled. "But yes, my brother spends his time learning about different stories, and he has pictures all around his room, like Mount Olympus. And this picture we have created together... It faintly reminds me of Asgard, which is the home of gods, similar to Mount Olympus in Greek mythology. Asgard is connected to Midgard, the home of humans, by a rainbow bridge called Bifrost."

"A rainbow bridge?" You looked down at the sketch, pulling out your colored pencils. "Huh... I can see that." A soft smile spread along your face as you looked up at the handsome blond. "Let's draw Asgard, Thor."

Thor nodded with his own grin. "Let's draw Asgard."

xXx

The final product (which took two days to complete together) was beautiful. You didn't know how he did it, but Thor drew the stars so beautifully. It was as if he gazed upon those exact constellations (none of which you recognized) each and every night. He used zero references and instead just focused on what he was doing. His hands were large, but the details were so delicate, so perfect. It was nearly maddening just how good Thor was at what he did.

Upon finishing the drawing, Thor took a picture of it but left the actual copy with you. He had smiled down at you, patting you on the back with a hearty "Tis beautiful!" and that was that. Part of you feared he wouldn't be interested in hanging out afterwards, but Thor's spirit was just too kind for it to be possible. He was friends with everyone and judged none. So there was no need for fear.

And as it was, he invited you to go stargazing that night. It was Friday, and there wasn't to be a single cloud in sight. So overall it was a good deal. Thor knew the best spots and had everything set up prior to your arrival like the gentleman he was. And true to his word, there were plenty stars and no clouds.

"These are really beautiful, Thor. The sight of all these stars is... Jeez..." It took your breath away. Before, stars were just... There. But now? God, they were amazing. Truly wonderful, and oh so natural and underappreciated.

Thor chuckled. "I am happy you have found the same beauty I have. However, the stars are not taking my breath away tonight."

"How?!"

"Because I see something much better." He said simply.

You simply nodded. You didn't get it, but that was alright. "So... I was thinking for our next project, we could draw Jötunheimr. I was talking to your brother, and-"

"Yes." Thor said, smiling. "We can draw Jötunheimr starting tomorrow. However, I'd much rather be doing something else right now."

He leaned in and pressed a kiss to those soft lips of yours, and you had to admit that making out under the stars was a much better plan.
